Welcome to Harecastle Boats

Harecastle Boats is a small boat building company based in Cheshire, owned and run by John Pickin.

John is experienced in carpentry and joinery and . He moved into boat-building 20 years ago at Piper Boats, followed by Orchard Marina, before co-founding The Northwich Boat Company and Elton Moss Boats. Finally, in 2008, John formed his own company: Harecastle Boats.

Our boats are all hand built by Craftsmen in Great Britain making it easy for our customers to view their build at any stage. We don’t employ any sales staff, meaning that you are able to discuss all aspects of your build with your boat-builder. This allows us to spend as much time as possible with our customers, so that their ideas and our experience can be combined to produce their dream boat.

After working with many customers designing their new boats over the last 20 years, we understand that this will be an exciting time for you, so we are happy for you to view your boat during the build whenever necessary. If it is inconvenient for you to see your boat in progress, we will happily send you frequent progress reports with pictures attached.
